We are lucky to have a wide range of activities available in the Broadstairs and the surrounding area. Individuals are encouraged to pursue and develop their own interests with support as necessary.

Evening and weekend activities include Gateway Club, Melting Pot, Social Club Archery, Trampolining Twilight Evening Classes Pottery, Cooking for Fun, Fitness and Weight Training, Pub Visits (always popular), Swimming, Walks and visits to local attractions such as Bird Parks Theater, Cinema, Funfairs, Football etc.

We also have our own football team The Cleveland Seagulls, who play matches against local schools.

Each resident takes a minimum of one week's holiday each year - a range of options is discussed as a group. In previous years we have taken residents to Italy and France, along with Butlins, Pontins and Camber Sands.

These holidays offer a valuable opportunity to consolidate other skills learnt through the year.
We also own a mobile home at nearby Foxhunter Park, Minster.

Education and Work

We arrange a variety of day and evening activities to suit individual needs and interests, including full and part time tailor made courses for adults with learning disabilities at nearby colleges and education centres.

Some of our residents have work placements in the local community. To allow other residents to share in the meaningful world of work experience we are developing our own coffee shop as part of our extended premises.
